CHILDREN’S X-RAY
PROJECT DIRECTIVE
This project involved the addition of a dedicated pediatric X-ray room within the imaging department with special, wall mounted imaging equipment. The directive centered on creating a child-friendly diagnostic environment that meets all radiological safety standards while minimizing stress for young patients and their families. The scope included structural modifications, lead-lined shielding, and assistance with integration of specialized pediatric imaging equipment. Given the active nature of the hospital campus, coordination with clinical staff was essential to ensure safety and reduce construction impact in adjacent care areas.
DELIVERY
The pediatric X-ray addition was completed successfully, on time and within the allocated budget. The new space features custom finishes and calming graphics tailored to children, alongside the latest in low-dose X-ray technology. All construction activities were executed with strict adherence to hospital infection control protocols and radiation safety requirements. The result is a vibrant, safe, and functional imaging room that enhances the pediatric patient experience while expanding diagnostic capabilities at BSW Temple.
